Mark Berns has nearly 30 years of technology, operations and editorial experience bridging old and new media. His expertise is in technology and business strategy, organization design and change, and product development.
Before joining MediaLink, Berns filled a number of interim executive roles. He was VP of platform services for Mochila, a content syndication company, as both SVP of operations and product, and CIO for a division of United Business Media
As chief technology officer at Jupitermedia, he shaped strategy, handled dozens of acquisitions, and managed technology that supported online publishing, trade shows, digital media management, research services and e-commerce. As SVP of operations and creative he led integration of a dozen U.S. and European stock media agencies to help build Jupiterimages, the world’s third-largest stock media company.
Previously, Berns launched the first online news service of The Associated Press. He also was AP’s first product development director and oversaw global news operations.
