Sunil Kapadia has focused his 14 year career at the nexus of business strategy, e-commerce, and digital media, having advised and worked with leading brands and investors in multiple global markets.
Most recently, Kapadia was VP of digital and finance at Alton Lane, a rapidly growing custom menswear brand, where he drove the company’s multichannel product strategy, customer retention programs, and financial planning functions.
Prior to that, Kapadia spent six years at The Boston Consulting Group where he was a core member of the firm’s consumer and operations practices. While there he advised retailers, brands, and biopharmaceutical companies on growth strategy, new product development, M&A diligence and integration, and category strategy. Highlights include driving a 250 basis point gross margin expansion for a large retailer, creating a $30m+ growth strategy for a jewelry brand, authoring a series of reports on global e-commerce growth, and driving $50m in operational value following a major merger.
Early in his career, Kapadia managed large-scale software development initiatives at several Silicon Valley companies, including Walmart eCommerce, EXP Systems, and Intel Corporation. During that period, he built merchandising systems, digital music and photo services, a SaaS-based expert marketplace, and early digital TV prototypes.
Kapadia holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
