Michael Kassan, who runs media and marketing consultancy Medialink — acquired by Cannes Lions owner Ascential earlier this year — observed, “We have a lot of content players dancing around the maypole.” He will interview Tinseltown free agent Jeffrey Katzenberg.
Kassan pooh-poohs any idea that Madison Avenue would be cutting back on Cannes Lions extravaganzas this year.
“It’s as robust as ever,” says Kassan.“The rosé is a prop,” he reminds attendees, with a wink. “You’re not supposed to drink it, this is business.”
Meanwhile, Ascential CEO Philip Thomas told The Post he’s interested to see communications pro Richard Edelman unfurl his research on what role brands occupy in a world where trust in politicians is at an all-time low.
